This hands-on lab course will teach skills in utilizing a combination of taping and strengthening techniques as an adjunct to therapy to enhance the function of children with disorders of posture and movement. Strengthening strategies including Pilates, Theraband and Swiss ball will be presented and practiced to enhance the new alignment achieved through the various taping techniques (Theratogs, Fabrifoam, adhesive and rigid tapes). Examples of intervention with children through videotapes and case studies will reinforce learning. Group size has been increased to 60 people. Participants will need to bring a therapy ball. Rolls of tape and other class materials will be provided. Cost: $345

Jackie Grimenstein, PT, CKTP, is an adjunct professor of advanced pediatrics at the Univ. of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Director of Rehabilitation Services at Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital in Marlton, NJ.  A member of the APTA, she is NDT certified and has a wide variety of experience including 30 years within school settings.
