Professional and Family Training

The Capper Professional and Family Training program is designed
to enhance clinical decision-making skills, therapy, and educational
techniques for direct service providers, personal attendants and parents
with the ultimate outcome of enhancing the independence of people they
work and live with who have disabilities.

The Capper Professional and Family Training program provides both 
continuing education workshops and customized training services.

CONTINUING EDUCATION WORKSHOPS: One, two, or multiple day training
workshops are provided on a variety of topics and feature locally, nationally, and
internationally recognized guest speakers. Prior CEU sponsorship is
requested from the KPTA, KOTA, and KDHE. Certificates of completion are provided
to attendees of all training workshops.

CUSTOMIZED TRAINING: Capper provides customized inservice training for
individuals or small groups who are health care providers, day care providers,
educators and paraprofessionals. You can design your own workshop by
choosing the topic(s), schedule and location.

Incorporate multiple topics and instructors to maximize your training. Schedule
a one hour session or multi-day sessions. Evening and weekend training is
available.

• Augmentative communication
• Seating/positioning
• Mobility
• Switch site assessment
• Adaptive physical education and recreation
• Activities of daily living
• Sensorimotor issues
• Handwriting skills
• Integration of technology into the classroom and workplace
• Oral motor and feeding
• Early intervention training for community child care/preschool providers
• Inclusion of the child with special needs
• Sensory processing disorder

your specific needs.

YOUR PLACE OR OURS?  Customized training can be brought to your facility, or
bring your group to Capper's state-of-the-art Conference Center that can
accommodate up to 120 people.
